The Philips OLED TV goes on sale with Android and Ambilight lighting

At the Philips 901F we met in September, then we learned that it was going to be the first OLED TV of the firm, and that would come very well armed: the operating system chosen for the occasion would be Android TV, and they would not forget a Of the star characteristics of the house, the Ambilight lighting system (on three levels).

The ingredients are very interesting, promising, as we expand a few lines later, but what is news today is that it goes on sale in less than two months – at the end comes later than expected.

Only available with the screen size of 55 inches, the panel originates LG Display, so we can get a good idea of its image quality. We remind you that the exploitation of the historic European brand is now in the hands of China TP Vision.

You will no longer be the only one in mixing Google and OLED, Sony has taught us that they were also in it with a spectacular model by design and sound system. As with the Sony, on Philips we found Chromecast support.

Coming into typical specs in these high-end TVs it must be said that its panel is 4K, it has HDR support, it is able to meet the color space DCI-P3, and to move all these parameters with guarantees uses the image processor of the house, the ‘Perfect Pixel Ultra HD’.

How about the sound? Philips introduces a 6.1 surround system with a total power of 30W. As you can see in the graphic material the sound bar is integrated in the lower part of the screen, composed of six loudspeakers.
